BOWTREADER WEEKLY: A Different Kind of Cammo

BIG NEWS! Our next 3D shoot is only three weeks away! It is plenty of time to prepare and register of course… but please don’t wait. We would hate for you to miss the opportunity at our only shoot in Forsyth Georgia!

We love to highlight whoever we are working with every time we get the chance. This time we are more than thrilled — it is rare that we find an organization that lines up with our values so perfectly. For our Forsyth shoot, we will be working with an organization called CAMMO!

CAMMO is a fitting acronym with a meaning dedicated to showing God’s greatness in the outdoors. It stands for Creating Almighty Memories and Mission Oppertunities - which is what we are all about! The organization has property for hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports including a lodge and a beautiful pond. Over 156 acres of woods, river, and wetlands they hunt deer, turkeys, squirrels, raccoons, and rabbits. Aside from that they fish and kayak — if you can think of a way to enjoy the outdoors, they are doing it!

The goal of CAMMO is to use their property to glorify God by letting people explore His creation on their property. Faith, outdoors, and education are their three supporting values. From summer camps to hunting events, they never cease to pursue those ends!

As you likely know by now, our most important value is faith, our field is the outdoors, and education is a huge part of what we do. What better way to put all of those into practice than by partnering with these wonderful people to improve our skills with archery?

In a couple of weeks, we will be setting up targets in realistic places where people actually hunt. The targets look just like the animals you would find out there and the mission is the same as it would be if you were coming to hunt: to gain a better understanding of the outdoors (and archery)!

If you weren’t at our last shoot, expect to be paired with your party and walk the course with them. Expect difficult shots as well as some that are just plain fun — and expect a few shots that are some of both. At these events, most find that the challenging ones become the most fun with some spunk and a little competition! (By the way, these events are NOT an explicit competition… but it is not prohibited within your party)

Whether you are a long-time outdoorsman getting back into archery, or a indoor target shooter, we hope you will come out and join us for our next shoot! It is going to be epic!
