BOWTREADER WEEKLY: Shooting Between the Hedges

Good Morning! The 7 day countdown has begun because we are officially a week away from our next stop on our 3D tour! If you haven’t been to one of them, check us out on Facebook to see what it is all about… or read the following. Each stop brings more people from farther away, several of which just keep signing up for the next shoots. We have a page on our website to help you prepare for each shoot, but if nothing else prepare to be surprised. The weather isn’t the only thing that can change in a matter of minutes in Georgia — each shot is different from the last one and they just keep getting more epic!

The last shoot was on the edge of the mountains and the one before that was over the Savannah river. Next weekend we will be shooting on a grassy quail plantation in Sylvester. And the next one is totally unlike any of our last

We announced it on social media this week but if you haven’t seen it yet, our next stop is in Athens Georgia! We’re headed through the hedges to the Hudala Family Farm, a hunting property of one of our favorite bow experts. 

Couldn’t tell you what to expect here. Like we said there are always surprises… what we can tell you about it is that there are a lot of trees, a ton of animals, and from what we hear a whole lot of wild pitch black coyotes. As usual, we’ll set up our wolf and coyote targets, along with our lion, elk, and dinosaur... it may or may not be worth putting up a trail camera to see how the real animals get

If anything, we can’t wait to put all 50 of them up to see how well they blend in. The Hudala family will be there along with our family and friends to help and you can bet the iron cross will be painstakingly set up way farther than it should be. We challenge everyone to shoot whatever shot pushes their limits, whether that is the iron cross, a far shot in the woods, or their first time shooting on our discovery course. As usual, there will be rivalries. We like to remind people it is not a competition although there will be giveaways… but you are welcome to have friendly competition in your party!

We put groups together by time slot so depending on when you sign up, you’ll likely be paired with some new friends to shoot with. We’ll be in the woods for this one the whole time much like our Forsyth shoot so you never know what to expect.
