Good morning! Last week was another great shoot! There were about 100 people out there — plenty of old pros, a lot of newbies, and a few legends. There was a pond and a water slide, a ton of targets and trails between all of it through the mountainous terrain. Each shoot just keeps getting bigger and this time even people who had never held a bow stopped by to meet all of our vendors. In the end, we couldn’t have done it without the good people at CAMMO and their friends who stopped by to help. We are thankful for all of the helping hands!
Every stop we make is completely different. Last time we set up in a line along the Savannah River, this time we were more spread out over hills and creeks. The associations we partnered with were different but altogether all of the people we have worked with share many of our same values. Each event presents new obstacles and each is wonderfully different. Their uniqueness makes them even better!
Our next shoot is at a place in Sylvester that is nothing like the first two but just as exciting! We will be partnering with Southern Woods Plantation, a hunting reserve predominantly saved for quail hunting. This means flatter land, a few less trees and a lot more grass. There is a front of nice facilities and many more trophy animals on display but all in all our concept is the same — use realistic targets in the woods to help better our skills with archery. We will still have our discovery course for little ones and people who haven’t quite gotten into the sport yet, but don’t let that deceive you. The legends course just keeps getting harder with each event — from this one don’t expect anything different!
Southern Woods Plantation is committed to offering what they like to recognize as ‘fine quail hunting’. Needless to say, to experience their property is like stepping back in time — everything is done with respect to Southern tradition and both the land and cabins are absolutely beautiful! The plantation hosts young and old hunters alike (and their dogs) year-round to hunt quail and participate in other activities there. This will be the first archery event held on their ageless land which only excites us more!
Each shoot one thing is sure: we assess our flaws and improve. At the Sylvester shoot, we hope to provide you with a QR code that leads to a map of the course, and as each event brings more summer heat, we’re stocking up water stations. If you’re still confused about what exactly our shoots entail, watch our YouTube video below! This is a compilation from our last shoot in Forsyth — it was truly epic!

The weather isn’t the only thing that can change in a matter of minutes in Georgia — each shot is different from the last one and they just keep getting more epic!
